It’s the third week of school and people finally realize it’s not summer anymore. At the three week mark, students actually have to start putting in some effort to keep their grades up. Classes start to have tests, and homework is starting to pile up. Community High students share their thoughts about the school year so far.

Sara King said, “Being a senior is really exciting because I can take a lot of classes that I want to instead of the classes that I’m required to, and I’m excited for college – I’m looking forward to that a lot.” Although she is a senior she doesn’t think she will be slacking off. “My version of senioritis is like, ‘Oh I guess I’ll only take two APs and not do a Michigan class,’ so, I hope I don’t get it too bad,” King said.

Along with King, Briana O’Neal, Junior is adjusting to being a grade older. “I don’t think [being a junior is] any easier or harder, it’s weird because I feel like I need to take more of a leadership role so I need to be more focused and take more responsibility.” Although being a grade older, Community students are ready and excited for the new year to start.
