“Where Notables Lived in Ann Arbor”

View a photo-guided lecture from Dale Leslie, a local historian. The presentation is about where well-known poets and writers lived around Ann Arbor such as Robert Frost, Arthur Miller, and more. This event is free to attend and is at the Ann Arbor District Library.

April 29th, 5-9 p.m.

“Taste of Saline”

This event is on Main Street in downtown Saline and gives you the chance to sample food from the local restaurants. Live music and entertainment will also be provided. Tickets cost 25 dollars per person.

 

April 30th, 7-9 p.m.

Community High School’s “Science, Arts, and Letters Night”

Attend a show of Community High School’s students’ latest projects, works of art and listen to some smooth jazz played live by CHS students. Soap and art projects will also be for sale, and you can look at what the students have been working on lately. This event is free to attend, and you can walk in at any time.

May 1st, 5:30 p.m.

U of M vs. Penn State Softball Game

This is the start of a 3-day series against one of Michigan’s Big 10 rivals. The second game is at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are 6-8 dollars and 3 dollars for groups of 10 or more. Faculty and students at u of M get in for free.

May 2nd

8-11 a.m.

“Weekend Arb Walk”: Washtenaw Audubon Society

Hike through the Arb and look at newly grown spring trees and plants, as well as migrating animals. This leaderless hike is free to attend.

Used Bike Sale: Huron High School

This fundraiser for Huron High School’s Band is in the cafeteria this Saturday. People can donate unwanted bicycles. They can also drop off a bike for sale on consignment for a 30% donation. The final drop off day for unwanted bikes is Thursday, April 30th from 2:30-5:30 p.m. The parking and admission for this event are free.

Pioneer High School Theater Guild presents “Disney’s The Little Mermaid”

Pioneer High School performs a musical based on one of Disney’s classics: The Little Mermaid. Songs will include: “Poor Unfortunate Souls”, “Under the Sea” and “Part of Your World”. This play is performed on May 1st at 7:30 p.m, May 2nd at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m, and May 3rd at 2:00 p.m. Tickets must be bought in advance. They are $15, and tickets for staff, students, and seniors over 65 years old are $10.
