The crowd of Club Fair is hard to navigate, but one group of voices cuts through all of the bustle and noise.

“JOIN SERVICE CLUB!”

The shout comes from the club’s leaders: Paige Duff, Ruby Taylor, Will Panitch and Chava Makman-Levinson. They stand behind a table with a bowl of candy and a sign-up sheet so full they had to write in more rows. They’ll need the new recruits; Service Club has big plans for this year.

Service Club typically organizes fundraisers and drives as well as community service, and Makman-Levinson says the club already has projects in the works.

“We have made many plans already to attend such cool events and help out at fun places, which I am so excited to do!” The club is especially determined to be more active than it was in the past year after losing many upperclassmen members.

“Last year we kind of had trouble organizing and motivating people to come out, but I think this year we have a great team and some awesome new ‘freshies,’” Panitch says. “I’m just super pumped to spend time with cool people doing cool things.”

Be on the lookout: Service Club is back and excited for another year of making a difference!
