Moth Story Slam
Only at a Community High School (CHS) story slam can you learn about a Justin Timberlake impersonator, a beloved Disney star, a dehydrated day at the beach and more in a span of only 40 minutes. On Feb. 11th, the first ever CHS story slam took place in the Craft Theater. The event was modeled off of the popular Moth story slams in which people tell short stories that fall under a certain topic. It was run by student MCs Sage Iwashyna and Shannon Kahan (who also told a story to close the afternoon). The topic for the CHS slam was “idols.” Students told stories about family, celebrities, and even themselves.
