CET’s Just Desserts was a wild ride! It was insanity wrapped in a layer of fun. A great end to the CET 2023-2024 season.

Caitlin Smith plays pin the nose on the mole for Mole Day in their 6th block science class. Smith noted that Marcy McCormick dressing up as a mole was the best part of Mole Day. “I have a math test next week, and all these things happening,” Smith said. “It's pretty good to have some relaxing time and just chit chat with my friends and have a grand old time, especially because I understand the material pretty well, so I didn't feel the need to have an intense study day.”

Spirit Week at CHS
In May 2025, Jones School alumni gathered on the front lawn of now Community High School to celebrate the placement of the new monument. The plaque signifies the importance of Jones School and recognizes the people who went there. Many of the alumni came up to speak at the celebration and shared stories and memories of their time at Jones School.

On May 23, senior Sebastian Berenfeld and the entire Hunscher-Young Forum pull with all their might during the tug-of-war competition at CHS’s annual end-of-year Field Day. Berenfeld has always looked forward to Field Day and wanted to give it his all one last time.“Tug-of-war and Field Day in general is by far my favorite school day of the year,” Berenfeld said.“There’s just something really fun that brings everyone together.”

After spending her entire year creating the book, McCreadie couldn't believe it was finally time to distribute it. "I'm so proud of everything we've accomplished through this book," McCreadie said. "This has been the best team of people to work with, and I hope every student loves the yearbook as much as we loved making it."

Cameron Payne plays drums at his final jazz concert. He will go on to study jazz drums at University of Michigan in the fall. Payne was wearing his ionic sunglasses which is a trope he began introducing at his shows earlier in the semester.

Luca Hinesman is a junior at Community High School, and this is their second year on staff! They’re a part of practically everything offered at CHS, including CET, Mock Trial, Wes Anderson Clurb and the best forum, the Stern Forum. When they aren’t busy being a part of their countless extracurriculars, buying lots of pick-me-up sweet treats and doing calculus homework, they love to watch movies, read books about insufferable characters and hang out with their buddies. Luca is so excited to help guide The Communicator this year as a Web Editor-in-Chief!

Kaylee Gadepalli is currently a senior at Community High School, and this is her third year on staff. She can be found playing the NYTimes Games, watching TV and hanging out with her dog. Kaylee is looking forward to another year of working with wonderful people.
