The 2024-2025 senior class carried on this year the tradition of the senior sunrise, which took place on Sep 26, 2024. The majority of the senior class gathered on the front lawn, carrying their blankets.
Each present senior curled up on the grass with their blanket in a huge blob, spanning the front lawn. “I woke up super early. I drove two of my friends, which was super fun,” said Brook Fagan. “I packed so many blankets.”
The senior sunrise get-together lasted from 6:30 to 8. CHS seniors set it up by themselves, creating a unique itinerary. Activities included taking photos with a cutout, outlined with “Senior Sunrise, 25.”
Next, seniors brought paint and did handprints on a senior banner. “I also really liked doing the handprint thing because it looked like my hand was bleeding,” said Eddie Mobilio Breck, a CHS senior.
“We were all doing handprints on this big poster,” Fagan said. “It was such a cool way to kind of leave your mark on the community. Super artsy and super fun, and everyone was super into it. And you kind of got to choose your color to represent yourself. And I thought that was super cool.”
Lastly, seniors took photos and curled up for the sunset. Mobilio Breck had more to say: “I want to do it again, or do a senior sunset. I feel like that’d be a really fun idea, but it was just a really great way.”
