The spork game has been an intense rivalry between fellow seniors going into week five. 43 seniors remain, all being anxious to win the prize money and persevere until the end. One senior who is still standing is Serafina Kutcher. Kutcher feels that the competitive class of 2025 brings a lot of stress and rivalry into the game, but is excited nonetheless.
“I think we have a very competitive class this year, and I think a lot of people are also taking it very seriously, so I’m excited,” Kutcher said.
While feeling anxious about the spork game, Kutcher finds joy in decorating her spork and personalizing it.
“I got rainbow rhinestones and these little locket charms,” Kutcher said. “I’m gonna burn a hole in the bottom of it and put my locket charm on it, and I’m gonna match with my friends that are gonna do the same thing, and it’s gonna be awesome.”
Although most players are anxious to win the game, CHS senior Leo Castilho felt differently. Castilho was sick of playing and was willing to let his friend Max Johnson spork him for food in return.
“You know, I was done with going everywhere with my spork in my hand,” Casilho Said. “So, you know, I was sick of it, and I was like, bro, give me some food and I’ll let you get me out. And so he gave me, like, two meals of No Thai with drinks.”
The anticipation of who will win the spork game is growing week by week with seniors developing different strategies and forming secret alliances with others. Players are getting out at a faster rate this year; could there be one winner? We can only wait and see.
