Carlin has seen the impact hit close to home and believes that people need to speak up. “I have a lot of friends who are immigrants, and immigrants should be welcome here. This is a country of immigrants, founded by immigrants, and it never should be some exclusive club where many groups of people are scapegoated and blamed for problems that they did not cause,” Carlin said. “I do not want to see history repeat itself.”

"I enjoy being able to celebrate other people," Plavnick said. "Especially in a group environment and at CET, so it was really fun."

She had been looking forward to introducing Fox, who played a big role in her growth throughout high school. “Ellie has been a very important part of my high school experience, especially in journalism,” Amjadi Klass said. “It’s sad to see her leave, but I’m excited to see where life takes her.”

Their forum, the Silvester Forum, claimed the Spring Field Day title after not winning for several years. “It’s exciting to finally win,” Skerlos said. “This is the first Field Day my forum has won since I joined, and I hope there are many more to come.”
