Dean Marci Tuzinsky, along with multiple CHS parents, sit in the library during NAAPID. Pastries and coffee were available from 8-10 a.m. for all parents. “It was great to sit and hear their ideas for the future of the school,” Kaylee Gadepalli, a student who attended that morning, said. “I think sometimes high schoolers are embarrassed of their parents being at their school. But everyone I met really wanted to make Community the best it can be.”

Willa Darling and the Silvester Forum compete in tug-of-war during Field Day. After several hard-fought rounds, the forum won first place in both the event and the overall Field Day competition. “It was my first time winning Field Day, so it was super exciting,” Darling said. “It took a lot of preparation with the forum, but it definitely paid off.”

Paige Plavnick spells out "Happy Birthday Soren" with candy letters before the CET movie night. Soren Anderson was attending the movie night and Plavnick wanted Anderson to feel celebrated. "I enjoy being able to celebrate other people," Plavnick said. "Especially in a group environment and at CET, so it was really fun."

Liliana Amjadi Klass gives her introduction speech for Ellie Fox at the journalism banquet. She had been looking forward to introducing Fox, who played a big role in her growth throughout high school. “Ellie has been a very important part of my high school experience, especially in journalism,” Amjadi Klass said. “It’s sad to see her leave, but I’m excited to see where life takes her.”

Their forum, the Silvester Forum, claimed the Spring Field Day title after not winning for several years. “It’s exciting to finally win,” Skerlos said. “This is the first Field Day my forum has won since I joined, and I hope there are many more to come.”
