Football: Huron football played Skyline last Friday, the 28. Huron lost 35-41. It was 41-14 at the end of the first half, in favor of Skyline. The Rats blanked the Eagles during the second half to make it an interesting finish.
Field Hockey: Huron played Pioneer in Field Hockey on Monday, 24 of September. The two teams tied 0-0. Huron scored once but it was disallowed because of a penalty. Huron played Grosse Pointe South High School on Friday, September 28. Huron won the game 4-0, with Katie Yeatts scoring three of the Rats’ goals and Hayley Evoy scoring once.
Soccer: The Huron Varsity men played Bedford on Tuesday, September 25. Huron defeated Bedford 2-0, with Joey Stetz and Reid McCallister scoring for the River Rats. After Stetz scored the first goal, in the first few seconds of the game, the game became physical with three yellow cards appearing during the game. McCallister scored halfway through the first half which was the last goal scored. Huron played Ypsilanti on Thursday, September 27.
Tennis: Huron played Pioneer in Tennis on Thursday, September 27. Huron was able to win every single Varsity match. Huron’s number one single, Jack Peterson, won 6-3, 6-1, a snapshot of how the day went for Huron.Cross Country: On September 27 Huron placed 4th at the SEC Red Jamboree 2. With a score of 110, beating Skyline by 7 pts. The men also ran in the Coaching Legends Invite, where they came in 6th place.
Volleyball: Huron beat Monroe in volleyball on Thursday, September 27. The Rats won 3 matches to Monroe’s 1. They won the game 25-15, 25-20, 22-25, 25-20. Huron is now 29-3-3 with a 6-1 divisional record. Huron plays rival Skyline on Tuesday, October 2nd, for Skyline’s “Volley For A Cure” match.
