Sports: Skyline’s Week 4 Update

Sports: Skylines Week 4 Update

Football: Skyline football played Huron in their Homecoming game on the 28th. Skyline snuck out with a 41-35 win as Huron made a late surge to make the game interesting. Skyline was up 41-14 at half time.

Field Hockey: On September 24, Skyline played Grosse Pointe North. The girls also played the Washtenaw Whippets on the 27th. Skyline won the game 3-0, with Abbie Balmer, Emily Hussey, and Emily Beeman scoring the goals for the Eagles.

Soccer: The Skyline boys tied Saline 0-0 on September 24. On the 27th they beat Ypsilanti Lincoln 3-0. Drew Amstutz had two goals in the first five minutes of the second half. Lawrence Mullen scored late in the game to finish it off.

Tennis: On September 24, the Skyline tennis team played Greenhills and lost 6-2. Skyline played once more this week on the 26th, playing Saline, beating the Hornets 7-1.

Cross Country: On the 27th of September Skyline men finished 5th, with a score of 117, at the SEC Red Jamboree 2. The men also ran on the 29th, where they finished 13th out of the 18 teams at the Coaching Legends Invite.

Crew: Skyline went to Grand Rapids last Saturday. The Eagle women finished first in two races, a double and an eight  and got silver in the four. The men finished 1st in a four.

Volleyball: Skyline’s volleyball teams swept Pioneer this week, winning in 3 games at Pioneer’s “Volley For A Cure” Breast cancer awareness match on Thursday, September 27. Skyline won 25-12, 25-16, and 25-17. Skyline plays rival Huron on Tuesday, October 2nd for their “Volley For A Cure” match.

Women’s Golf: On Monday, September 21, Skyline Women’s Golf placed 6th at the SEC invite with a score of 439.
