Meringue Drops


  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 5 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 3 colors of food coloring


  1. Separate egg whites. Whisk in a stand mixer. Start at a low speed, and raise until a high speed. Continue to mix until stiff peaks, do not over mix!
  2. Preheat oven to 375º. Spread out 1 1/2 cups of sugar on some type of baking paper. And heat for 5-7 minutes. Be sure not to burn!
  3. Take out the sugar from the oven, and decrease oven to 200º. Add warmed sugar and vanilla to the whisked egg whites.
  4. Add food coloring to inside of piping bag. Should look like raindrops on the inside of bag. Add meringue mixture to back, avoiding air bubbles.
  5. On a baking sheet with baking paper, squeeze meringue into spiral drop with about 2 inches of space between cookies.
  6. Bake for 2 hours, let cool, and serve!
