Students use their voices to speak up about the New Green Deal
On Monday, Dec. 10, Community High advocates stood together and used there voices through social media to put pressure on Michigan representative Debbie Dingell to support a new climate action plan: The New Green Deal. These students held signs sharing their unrealistic excuses for not doing their homework to highlight the illegitimate excuses Dingell is giving for this plan.
“It felt like we had found a powerful outlet through social media to use our voices to influence our representatives, and that was really empowering and amazing to see our student body come together so well,” said Ruby Taylor, one of the organizer for this event.
