Old hip hop gets a bad wrap sometimes, pun intended, since the first generation of popular rap from the 70s had very boring and simple rhymes schemes and boring flows, but rap from the 90s and early 2000s was a lot different. New rhymes schemes, other than ABAB, were being used and created a very cool, smooth-flowing style of rap that would influence hip hop and rap forever.
