On Saturday, April 13, four Community alumni, as well as two additional musicians, played a late-night show at the Blue Llama Jazz Club. After the great Kenny Garret had left a younger group took the stage including Elvin Sahijdak, a member of Community’s top jazz combo as well as Sam Cory, Zach laconian, as well as Community alums Zach Sommer
feld, Cole Oswalt, and Kaes Holkeboer Holdwater.
“I like to put on a big show and I think I achieved that” Sahijdak said. “It was pretty good.”
Many current Community students came out to watch the show, with a waiting line out in the airlock.
The audience was buzzing with excitement before, during and after the show, smiles and cheering filled the club.
“It was quite nice,” Sahijdak said. “I always like bringing them back for shows and it’s alwavs a lot of fun.”
