Every year since 2009, Community High has joined together to raise money for Food Gatherers, Washtenaw County’s food bank/rescue program. The annual event is an essential fundraiser for Food Gatherers; last year, CHS raised $97,000, an all-time record for the school. This year, we aim to set a new record of $100,000, and we’re already well on our way. Forums have raised money through lunchtime events like bake sales or arm wrestling competitions, and the winning forum will receive a catered lunch courtesy of Zingerman’s Deli. Other prizes are also given, with categories such as most creative fundraiser or 100% forum participation. However, the best way to raise money is through donations; if you have a little money to spare, please consider donating!
