On March 10, 2012, Community High’s two mock trial teams,  Team A and Team B, competed in Pontiac at the Eastern Regional Tournament of the Michigan High School Mock Trial Tournament. Team A placed as a State Finalist and will be continuing to the state tournament on March 24 in Lansing. The tournament is organized by the Michigan Center for Civic Education. Community has represented Michigan in the National High School Mock Trial Tournament for the past two years. Community High teacher Chloe Root coaches the team along with drama coach Billie Ochberg and lawyer coach Bob West.

Members of the Prom Planning Committee (Ebie Lamb, Ryan Silvester, Morgan McClease) have a mini meeting to discuss food options. The committee chose a theme at the beginning of the process, making the rest of the decisions easier. We were able to figure out our theme day one, said Ebie Lamb, co-lead of the committee. Two years ago it took them around four weeks to figure out a theme, and by then they were panicking.
