Michigan Book and Supply located at State and North University is in the process of liquidating their final items before closing later this month. This Ann Arbor fixture is closing because of the bankruptcy of NBC Acquisitions Corp. and their subsidiary Nebraska Book Co. Ulrich’s Bookstore located on South University will remain open.

Customers waited outside the store before it opened at 10am to take advantage of steep markdowns. Many items were discounted up to 75% on previous sale prices. The store laid out products on several tables in the main area of the store. The rest of the space has been dismantled and is no longer being used. Art supplies, which occupied the 2nd floor of the store are still on sale on the upper level.

No plans have been made for the space. Its central location is sure to make it desirable to many different types of businesses.

Michigan Book and Supply will remain open with modified hours of operation.
