Seniors Reflect on their Best CHS Memories

Graduation is just around the corner for CHS Seniors. They have filled the last four years of their life with memories from within Community’s walls, that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. What are some of these fond memories?

Charlie Rieschl: Charlie describes how the entire month of May last year was one of the best for him. Every day was 70 and sunny; this meant lunches spent outside on the back lawn enjoying the weather. “And…” Charlie begins, ” I always had my sourdough rolls, and they were always spectacular and accompanied by sunshine.”

Cory Hammond: One of Cory’s best memories of CHS has been working for the Photo department, “you get to help people work with a camera.” he says.

Lydia Buchanan: Lydia’s fondest memory came from her ridiculous sophomore year FOS class. “My class was psychotic and it was really fun.” she says.

Aidan Mase-Kemnitz: Aidan has had many fond memories, including hanging out on the back lawn, all of his art classes and all of the water balloons thrown by seniors over the past three years. One memory in particular he has is of a huge snowball fight from a couple years ago. “We were all just dripping wet from the snow, it was really fun.” he says.

Hilary Burch: “One day I dressed like Tracy and Tracy told me I looked good that day.” said Hilary. Hilary was wearing a long gray sweater dress over a pair of jeans.

Austin Hughes: Austin reflects on his memories from Relay for Life, “It is just like one big family and we are doing something for a good cause and you’re with people you love.” Another forum event he remembers clearly was camping with friends, then waking up at 4:00am and having a strong urge to do some tai-chi. “Man, I’m gonna miss Community.” he says. “I’m just really blessed that I came to such a good school with fresh faces and minds.”
