The pea coat is a style classic, and is worn contemporaneously by non-members of the Navy all across the Western world. The name for pea coats was derived from Dutch “pij”, a name for the cloth typically used in constructing early pea coats. Over the past few years, dozens of Community High students have purchased or inherited pea coats, and claim to be avid fans. We take a look at students of all grades and groups wearing this Navy classic while off the boat.
