On Friday, April 27, 2012, Community High will host a free screening of the movie “Happy” for the general public. The movie documents the power and science behind happiness, which it describes as the most valued emotion. The film was directed, written, and co-produced by Roko Belic. The Michigan Theater hosted a screening on February 11, World Happy Day, organized by Annie Zirkel, a CHS parent and Ann Arbor-based counselor. Zirkel brought the film to Community High’s forum council and students in forum council organized the event. Forum council will also be selling baked goods to raise funds for a CHS junior recovering from a house fire.
